The Ocean Room

The Ocean Room is the main part of the restaurant, the part you will see as you walk in to the hotel.  Large glass walls look right on to the beach and the Mediterranean sea offering almost panoramic views, which (on appropriate weather days) are fully opened giving an impression of being right on the sea!  A bright and spacious room, the Oceano Room Restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner.

The Ocean Room is where most dining entertainment takes place, with small stage and dancing area. If you’re joining us for an entertainment evening, this is probably where you’ll be.  Almost every evening is accompanied by one of our fantastic regular entertainers and occasionally, special guests from all over Europe.

The Veranda

An elegant dining room with views of the mountains of North Africa.  The Veranda is a little apart from The Ocean Room, with glass walls giving the impression of hanging over the overlooking the sea. It’s a great place for breakfast!  Right next to the beach, dinner is served each evening in the Veranda Restaurant, a glass enclosed dining room seemingly suspended over the ocean.  The views will take your breath away!

El Oceano's restaurant has earned its reputation the only way a restaurant genuinely can — by producing exceptional food, consistently, over many years, and by creating an experience around that food that makes guests want to return. It is not a hotel restaurant in the sense that term is sometimes used — meaning a dining room that exists primarily to serve the accommodation guests and is content to do a reasonable job of it. El Oceano's restaurant is a destination in its own right, drawing diners from across the Mijas Costa, from Marbella and Fuengirola, and from right along the Costa del Sol, many of whom have no connection to the hotel whatsoever. Built around a traditional Sunday roast elevated considerably by the quality of the kitchen — Prime Fillet of Galician Beef, Roast Rump of Lamb, Roasted and Stuffed Chicken Breast, alongside the celebrated El Oceano Curry Club and fresh fish options — it has become one of the most talked-about weekly dining events on the Mijas Costa. Reservations are strongly recommended for all evening sittings, for Sunday lunch, and for any of the special events in the calendar — Full Moon Gala Dinners, themed evenings, and entertainment nights all fill up quickly. Weekend evenings in the peak summer months can be booked several weeks in advance by guests who know the restaurant well, and the Sunday Experience in July and August requires early booking as a matter of necessity rather than mere preference.
