The Facilities

A beachfront hotel on the Costa del Sol should, of course, offer direct beach access — and El Oceano does, along with rather more besides. The Polynesian Pool is one of the hotel's most beloved features: a beautifully designed heated outdoor pool with a swim-up bar, VIP sunbed packages, and poolside entertainment from Thursday through Sunday throughout the season. The pool area is recommended for guests aged 14 and over, and it's where some of the most memorable El Oceano afternoons happen.

The Restaurant

When to Visit

El Oceano's season runs from late March through to October, with Easter Weekend marking the official opening of the year. The summer months — June, July, and August — are the most popular, and availability in peak season can be limited, so early booking is always advisable. That said, there's a strong case to be made for the shoulder months. April, May, September, and October offer the same beachfront setting, the same quality of food and service, the same heated Polynesian Pool and poolside entertainment — with quieter surroundings, comfortable spring and autumn temperatures, and hotel rates that make the whole experience even better value.
