Booking Your Hotel Room

El Oceano has 55 rooms and suites, each one beautifully appointed and most with stunning sea views. The hotel sits right on the beach at Km 1026 on the Costa del Sol, positioned perfectly between Marbella and La Cala de Mijas. It's a genuinely special location — close enough to two of the coast's most popular destinations to be wonderfully convenient, yet set just far enough apart to feel like your own private retreat.

Our hotel is recommended for adults, and the atmosphere reflects that — relaxed, sophisticated, and focused entirely on your enjoyment and comfort. The heated indoor pool and spa, the gym, the beachfront access, and the in-house restaurant are all available to hotel guests throughout their stay.

Room rates vary by season and room type, and availability can be limited during peak periods — Easter, July, August, and the summer bank holiday weekends in particular tend to fill up quickly. Booking Your Restaurant Table

The El Oceano restaurant is open every day throughout the season for both lunch and dinner, and it's a dining experience that draws guests from right across the Costa del Sol — not just those staying in the hotel. The Ocean Room, with its panoramic sea views and intimate atmosphere, is the main dining space and the setting for most of our live entertainment evenings. The Veranda offers a slightly more private experience with breathtaking views towards the mountains of North Africa. And during the summer months, the beachfront terrace opens up for al-fresco dining right on the water's edge.

Our Sunday Experience is one of the highlights of the week and bookings are essential. We also host Full Moon Gala Dinners, themed evenings, and regular entertainment nights throughout the season — all of which benefit from advance reservation. A smart-casual dress code applies; gentlemen are very welcome to wear long trousers, but smart shorts and short are great, too,  for evening dining.

Dietary requirements — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and others — are all catered for. Please let us know at the time of booking and our kitchen will be happy to accommodate you.

Booking Your VIP Sunbed

Our VIP sunbed experience at the Polynesian Pool is available to hotel guests and non-residents alike, and it's one of the most popular ways to spend an afternoon at El Oceano. Sunbeds are available from midday to 7pm, Monday to Sunday, with pricing at €80 per sunbed Monday to Thursday and €100 Friday to Sunday. Each booking includes luxury towels, full pool access, and dedicated personal waiter service throughout the afternoon.

The pool is heated, the swim-up bar is fully stocked, and from Thursday through Sunday the entertainment team creates a lively, sophisticated poolside atmosphere with live music and DJs. The Polynesian Pool is recommended for guests aged 14 and over.

To reserve a VIP sunbed using the restaurant booking system, simply select 11am in the time dropdown — all other time slots are restaurant reservations.
